Safety training for managers, safety officers, purchasing officers and supervisors of operators of grinding and cutting machines.
Aim and objective:
A thorough and professional course delivered in an exciting and informative style that creates awareness of the hazards and dangers for operators and others. We show how each delegate can be influential in providing a safe working environment for operators. We provide delegates with advice and recommendations in avoiding injury through correct procedures and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
This training course is designed to meet the requirements for training of supervisors and managers in line with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment regulations 1998 (PUWER 1998) for safety in the use of abrasive wheels and discs.
Regulation 9 of PUWER 1998 states:
.........Every employer shall ensure that any of his employees who supervises or manages the use of work equipment has received adequate training for purposes of health and safety, including training in the methods which may be adopted when using the work equipment, any risks which such use may entail and precautions to be taken..........
The content is classroom based and includes multi-media presentations that demonstrate the need for safety in the use of abrasive wheels and discs. It can be taken as an 'add-on' to an existing training course or separately at various venues around the UK.
